OUR STORY

Who we are.

Capla was born in Puerto Rico in 2020, right in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. As adventurers and adrenaline seekers, we have always embraced the great outdoors, whether through local explorations or international trips. However, we often faced the challenge of soggy gear, as rainy weather seemed to follow us everywhere. Inspired by our experiences and the desire to create a solution, we decided to invest our savings in a small order of waterproof backpacks. Still in college and fueled by our passion, we launched Capla with a mission to provide quality and affordable outdoor gear. What started as a single product quickly gained momentum with word-of-mouth, selling all units in just one month. This success revealed a gap in the market for Puerto Rican outdoor products, and we found our guiding star. Today, Capla has evolved into a registered company with dedicated departments that provide employment opportunities for fellow Puerto Ricans. As we continue to juggle our engineering studies and our growing business, we hope you enjoy our products as much as we do. Adventure on!
